Its absolutely free. Once you have chosen your destination and put down the minimum deposit (if applicable) we will then set up your registry and personalized webpage. We do charge a 5% service fee to those who are giving gifts. This charge helps us defray the cost of credit card charges, website upkeep as well as the amenities and benefits you will receive from registering with Park Avenue Travel. We should also point out that purchases made on traditional registries will be subject to sales tax, gift wrapping fees, and possible shipping and handling far exceeding our 5%. The outcome for the gift purchaser and the bride and groom is essentially the same. There is no cost for set up and our service fee is lower than that of our competition.

Your registry starts as soon as you let your Travel Consultant know you want to participate in the registry. Our certified consultants will help plan, design and price the perfect honeymoon that is romantic, relaxing and a reflection of your tastes and needs. It will also be done with your budget in mind. Once you have chosen your honeymoon a deposit, in most cases, will be necessary to secure your reservations. The deposit is dependant on the trip, dates and other factors that will all be disclosed to you before any money is exchanged. Upon receipt of the deposit, we will set up your customized home page as well as personalized registry announcements that we will print and mail on your behalf. This is all included at no cost to the Bride and Groom. Once announced, your guests will be able to make contributions via credit card on-line or cash and check via mail and telephone. Your contributors will also receive a custom printed gift card, personalized with their wishes for you. This way guests won’t come to your shower or wedding empty handed.

Each month you will receive a statement detailing the gifts you have accrued, the balance of the trip and any upcoming payments that may be associated with your honeymoon. If the balance permits, funds will be deducted from your registry account to pay for your honeymoon when payments are due. Two weeks before your final payment is due, a final statement will be delivered to you. If your balance will cover and exceed the remaining balance, your payment will be made for you and the excess funds will be sent to you via check or on-line via PayPal. If your balance is insufficient to cover the remaining amount due, you will need to remit that amount in time to ensure your trip is not jeopardized. Every trip has different cancelation terms and payment dates. These will all be explained to you prior to setting up your registry as well as noted in your monthly statement. Our consultants will work with you to design a honeymoon that will not exceed your means. In the off event that you do not receive the contributions you were hoping for, the cost of the trip will not be so overly burdensome that you must cancel. By us working with you ahead of time, your registry will enable you to defray the cost of your honeymoon and take the stress out of planning the perfect trip as you start off as husband and wife.

There are multiple ways Park Avenue Travel will help you notify your family and friends.

1.) We will custom print a registry announcement and mail them to the friends and family you select. This information will also let everyone know about your fabulous trip and give them instructions if they would like to contribute to your registry. We realize this can be a bit touchy so nothing will be sent out without your prior approval.

2.) We will set up a personalized webpage with information about you and your honeymoon. You can direct family and friends to this page where again they will have the option of contributing.

3.) Park Avenue Travel can also set up an email that can be sent out on your behalf, much the same way of the registry announcement only it is sent electronically.

4.) Honeymoon Shower preparations. Thinking of having a shower focused on your honeymoon? We can help you prepare with brochures, pictures, activities and in some cases, small gifts for your trip and its suppliers. Let us know what you are thinking about. We will be happy to assist with your party planning anyway we can.

All of the above are optional tools that you can use free of charge by registering with Park Avenue Travel. We will work with you to let your loved ones know how they might be able to contribute your special journey.

A service fee of 5% is added to every contribution. This pays for the bank charge involved in processing the credit card, the website maintenance, the custom printing and mailing we do on your behalf and to the overall administration of our registry program. This fee is not paid by the bride and groom rather the contributor. When considering traditional gift registries that charge sales tax, gift wrapping fees, and shipping and handling, our charge is quite modest. We NEVER charge a setup fee or have other hidden charges. When compared to other registries you will find us to be the lowest.

Your money will be deposited in one of two ways.

1.) Our in house escrow account. The majority of gifts will be held in our separate escrow account that is only for our honeymoon registry. No operating funds or other dollars are comingled with your deposits. Your money and contributions will be held in a legally bound escrow account at a federally insured savings institution. You will receive monthly statements letting you know of your contributions.

2.) In other cases, Park Avenue Travel will not hold any funds at all. Credit Card authorizations will be completed directly by the travel supplier. If you book a cruise with Holland America Line the contribution may be charged directly by Holland America Line in smaller dollar increments. Not all travel suppliers allow us to do smaller payments and in the majority of cases scenario 1. Is used.

At all times your money is accounted for and a balance and accounting may be requested at any time in addition to your monthly statements. You will have all information ahead of time and the above option of handling your money will be disclosed to you in writing before the registry is enacted. We want our registry to be a service to you and not a hassle.

Each of your contributors will be given a custom printed, personalized gift card so that they wont feel empty handed when attending your shower or wedding. Also, each month you will receive a statement that will detail all contributions and any upcoming payments. At any point in time you may request an accounting as well as contact information for those who have given gifts so that you may thank them.

Our consultants will design a honeymoon that is tailored to you and your budget. In the off event that the contributions you collect are not what you expect, your honeymoon will not be out of reach. We recommend letting as many people know as possible to help get the word out about your registry. We can also help with preparations for a honeymoon shower. You know your family and friends and your budget better than anyone else. We highly recommend not choosing a honeymoon beyond your own means that you couldn’t pay for yourself.
